Factory Acceptance Test completed remotely for US based customer
In these trying times, SUEZ ensures that the wheels keep turning. Despite Covid-19, SUEZ Ice Pigging™ projects continue to be delivered.
This week, another SUEZ AQL500 machine left the Ice Pigging™ manufacturing centre in Bristol; this one bound for South Carolina, after Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) was conducted remotely.
Typically, a customer would be present at the SUEZ site for FAT. This is the process that evaluates the equipment during and after the assembly process by verifying that it is built and operating in accordance with design specifications. FAT ensures that the components and controls are working properly according to the functionality of the equipment itself.
With the international coronavirus travel restrictions, it wasn’t possible for the US customer to be present. Instead, FAT was successfully achieved remotely with every process meticulously filmed for the client. Great work by all involved!
