Behind the Scenes: Ice Pigging Six Boreholes for Anglian Water

A behind-the-scenes look at how the SUEZ Ice Pigging team cleaned six boreholes for Anglian Water, taking the project from preparation through to completion.

SUEZ recently worked with Anglian Water Services to carry out an Ice Pigging programme across six boreholes, using the process to remove accumulated material from the associated pipework and help maintain effective operation of the water infrastructure.

Unlike a traditional written case study, this project has been captured on video, offering an opportunity to see the Ice Pigging process in action. Project Coordinator Joshua McDonald and Graduate Business Development Manager Risshey Jeevakumar take viewers through the work from start to finish, explaining the different stages involved and providing a behind-the-scenes look at how an Ice Pigging operation is delivered on site.

The video follows the team through the practical stages of the project, from preparing and connecting the specialist Ice Pigging equipment through to carrying out the cleaning process and monitoring the material removed from the network.

The project provides a useful demonstration of both the practical application of Ice Pigging within drinking water infrastructure and the planning, equipment and teamwork involved in delivering an effective clean.
